Privacy policy

Lingua Ink lets you write a name, word, or phrase in another language and turn it into artwork. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app.

Your account details and saved design settings can be stored so you can return to your work. Text you submit is sent to Groq for translation. Gallery photos are not uploaded by Lingua Ink.

Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google or email, Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore may store your email address, display name, Google profile-photo URL, account creation time, and last-seen time.

Text and translation requests

The name, word, or phrase you submit and the language you select are sent to Groq to produce a translation or transliteration. Lingua Ink does not send your account name, email address, or Firebase user ID with that request. Descriptions entered for AI-generated color palettes are also sent to Groq.

Saved designs

A saved design is stored as a compact recipe containing its text, selected language, font, colors, effects, and layout. Lingua Ink does not upload the rendered artwork image.

Photos

If you choose a gallery photo as a background, it is read and drawn on your device. Lingua Ink does not upload the photo, and the photo itself is not included in a saved design recipe.

How information is used

To create and manage your account.
To translate or transliterate the text you submit.
To restore saved designs when you sign in again.
To generate color palettes when you request one.

Lingua Ink does not sell personal information, display ads, use advertising identifiers, or run analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

Storage, security, and retention

Data sent to Firebase, Groq, and Google Fonts travels over HTTPS. Account data and saved designs are retained until you delete them or request account deletion. Groq’s handling and retention of submitted text is governed by its own policy.

No system is perfectly secure. Lingua Ink uses reasonable technical safeguards, but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and deletion

Long-press a design in History to delete it.
Use Profile → Clear all history to remove saved designs.
Use Profile → Delete account to request deletion in the app.
Use the web deletion page if you cannot access the app.

Children

Lingua Ink is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Contact us if you believe a child has created an account.
